Conference perspective
The Russian-Ukrainian war, which has become protracted, is transforming societies and global security orders, raising urgent questions about resistance, solidarity, and peacebuilding. This protracted military confrontation requires careful sociological research to understand its far-reaching social consequences for Ukraine and the world.
International Scientific and Practical Conference "Issues in the Development of Sociological Theory. Understanding Resistance, Solidarity, and Peacebuilding" invites scholars from different countries to explore these phenomena, addressing both the Ukrainian experience and its global resonance.
In the context of Russian aggression, Ukrainian society has demonstrated extraordinary resilience and unity; the war has changed the formats of relations between society and the state, and has become a catalyst for complex processes related, in particular, to social reintegration and many challenges of post-war recovery. This actualizes the need for sociological reflection and improved methodological tools for interpreting these circumstances. This conference will analyze the themes of resistance, solidarity and peacebuilding in their various aspects and dynamics, linking them to the broader international context. It will explore how global reactions to war influence theories of peace and social reconstruction, fostering a dialogue that transcends borders and enriches academic discourse.
Academics, researchers and practitioners are invited to join this critical exchange. By addressing pressing theoretical issues, participants will help shape sociological understanding and practical strategies for achieving and building peace.
