The content of the course focuses on the key challenges of modem sociology (multiparadigm and the challenges of "methodological nationalism", quantitative and qualitative methodologies), on the one hand, and, on the other hand, open to discuss the most important issues of sociological international comparative research, globalization and global development. The work focuses on the analysis and discussion ofrecent publications in English-language sociological peerreviewed journals in order to include students in the most relevant agenda of academic debates based on the latest research results. The format ofthe work is a colloquium, which combines discussion, lectures, practical tasks, is adequate for master's students. Teaching and learning in English is aimed to strengthen the professional language skills of students, to enrich their professional academic vocabulary in sociological terminology, to improve academic skills of writing abstracts, skills of presentation and debates.
