Social models of European societies, patterns of inequalities in the comparative context, conflicts or value-based consolidation, identities, and their specifics in the European social space give students the opportunity to comprehend social contexts of European societies via sociological research. Differences, features, and commonalities of western, southern, northern, and central-eastern Europe are in the focus of analysis conducted on the basis of comparative sociological studies. The ability to compare sociological and statistical data on contemporary social processes in Europe is developed via creative analytical assignments, critical thinking assignments, individual and group work during the semester.
