Advances in Machine Learning for Social Media Analysis 2014 (MLSMA’2014) is a workshop and training event devoted to train and educate researchers and graduate students. MLSMA’2014 will take place on September 23-27 at Wroclaw University of Technology, a leading Engineering and Science school in Poland. It is organized within the Engine project. In our first edition, the topic of the workshop and school is Social Media Analysis (SMA). MLSMA’2014 covers a range of machine learning topics, from theory to practice, that are important in analysis of data from social media. It includes natural language processing, statistical reasoning, relational learning and inference, sentiment analysis. The event has scheduled a poster presentation by all participants about their research. The work will be judged by a panel of judges for 3 prizes (sponsored by Wroclaw University of Technology).
Target Audience
Researchers and graduate students in the fields of social network analysis, social media analysis, natural language processing and machine learning.
Computer scientists who have interests in statistics and machine learning;
Industry practitioners who desire a more in depth understanding of these subjects.
